Mercy Tarus exposes Ruto governor who asked for ATM cards | Kenya news

The drama currently unfolding in Uasin Gishu county, William Ruto's home county is shaping up to be yet another case of corruption and lack of accountability. Only this time it has met with the stubborn resolve of locals led by a 24 year old Mercy Tarus. Funds were collected from the trusting public and even sensitive ATM cards handed over in good faith amid countless rosy promises but now leaders are changing the narrative and being economical with the truth. 24 year old Mercy Tarus has become an internet sensation and the face of the people fighting to expose the scandalous actions of Uasin Gishu governor involved in the Finland scholarship scam. It is very disheartening to see that it has become common for leaders in Kenya to collect public funds without any intention of being held accountable. What does this latest development mean for the country, and the Ruto regime politically going forward? Even as daily demonstrations continue in Eldoret, the capital of Uasin Gishu county?
