Why Duale, Kindiki, Nyoro, Kuria, Ichungwa are all in a fool's paradise

There is looming doom in Kenya which very few people seem to see and even more people are determined to behave like the African ostrich believing that if they bury their heads in the sand, the fire which can be seen at a distance will never reach them will never touch them.

Leading lights in Kenya kwanza are going about their lives, throwing money around (even making new investments) oblivious of the very serious problem we have in the country. Is it possible that they cannot even see how perilously the country in their hands hangs, with the future never this unpredictable?

Most Kenyans are also in the dark and have no idea what danger is being talked about. And this is mainly because very few people actually understand what the office of the presidency is all about. How would anybody even begin to understand why Kenya is in the problem she is in right now, if they have no inkling of what the presidency is about?

Sadly as many analysts have already noted, it is also true to say that this UDA/Kenya kwanza administration is in fact accelerating the problem. Speeding the country towards that cliff where mother Kenya will fall off.

Let us now dive into some super fascinating stories linked to the point I am trying to put across. Stories I am certain many of us have never ever heard in their entire lives.

When former President Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta sensationally lost the 2002 presidential elections to Mwai Kibaki, one of the most interesting and indeed instructive comments on Uhuru's election loss came from his own uncle. A man called Njoroge Mungai.

To older Kenyans that name rings a bell and they will know that Njoroge Mungai was at one time the most powerful cabinet minister and also a key member of the Jomo Kenyatta kitchen cabinet. And what made him even more powerful is the fact that he was related to President Jomo Kenyatta. He was a nephew to Jomo

So, what did Njoroge Mungai say exactly?

He said that the young man (Uhuru) was not yet mature enough for the presidency but he was perfectly positioned to mature and learn enough to take on the heavy responsibilities of the presidency by the time Mwai Kibaki finished two 5 year terms (total of 10 years).

Those gems of wisdom from a man who was there right next to the presidency right from independence are very instructive and in fact they ended up being prophetic. Because Dr, Njoroge Mungai lived to see his nephew Uhuru Kenyatta being sworn in as the fourth President of the Republic of Kenya in 2013. And strangely enough it's like it's the only thing he was waiting for because the very next year in 2014, this Stanford University (in the United States) trained medical doctor passed on at the age of 88. And even more interesting at his funeral President Uhuru Kenyatta was one of the pall bearers. The only time in history that a sitting president has been a pall bearer.

But for our purposes today; what was Njoroge Mungai really saying about the presidency in his remarks after Uhuru lost to Kibaki? What did he mean saying that Uhuru was not qualified enough in 2002?

For starters, the office of the presidency is not a joke. As has been proven over and over again. For instance, it has not escaped the attention of keen observers that current President William Ruto has aged several decades just a few months into the office.

But to really simplifying things in one visual illustration, the Office of the presidency of the Republic of Kenya is a situation where the holder of the office constantly has several balls flying in the air at the same time and he has to keep any of them from falling. You know the way entertainers juggle several balls in the air at the same time?

You are a politician. You are an administrator. You're an economist and also you are king. All rolled into one.

To even have a fighting chance of keeping a stable government running in Kenya you as president will need to pay very careful attention to detail in those four functions of the presidency I have just mentioned.

And to make things even harder for a president, if just one of those 4 functions goes terribly wrong, then it means that everything comes down. That one mishap affects all the other three. It will not matter what you do the other three will still come down.

This is a good beginning to start to understand why the country is where it is. Check out for full details; Why Duale, Kindiki, Nyoro, Kuria, Ichungwa are all in a fool's paradise
